From France to the English-speaking world

One company, two languages, the same wells

Well Solidarity started in France in April 2023 with a simple idea: sell a water well like a product, not like an appeal. You choose the well, you write the name on the plaque, we build it in a village that needs it, and you receive the proof. Three years and 9,000 wells later, we opened Well & Trees for English-speaking customers, starting with the United Kingdom and the United States, then Canada and Australia.

  • Same team, same field partners in Pakistan, Madagascar and seven other countries
  • Same products, same construction standards, same ~3-month timeline
  • Same proof pack: plaque with your name, GPS coordinates, photos, video
  • Prices in £, $, CA$ and A$ on wellandtrees.com
How a well is built

From your order to the first glass of water

  1. 1

    You order online

Choose the well, write the name and the message for the plaque, pay in your currency. You get an order number and a confirmation by e-mail.

  2. 2

    Plaque and site

Your plaque is engraved and sent to the field team. The site is chosen with the village, where water is needed most.

  3. 3

    Drilling and installation

The team drills, installs the casing and the hand pump, and tests the water. The plaque is fixed on the well.

  4. 4

    Your proof arrives

In about 3 months you receive the GPS coordinates, the photos and the video of your well in use. You can share them with the people you named.

Who is behind Well & Trees

A company, not a charity. We say it plainly.

Well & Trees is operated by the Well Solidarity group. Well Solidarity is a French company registered on 1 April 2023 (SIREN 985 160 233). We sell wells and trees at a fixed price that covers the construction, the plaque, the field team, the photos and the video, the customer service, the taxes and our margin. There is no Gift Aid, purchases are not tax-deductible and we never claim that a purchase is zakat.

Our marketing and customer service teams are in France, our creative studio is in Bali, and our field partners build the wells in Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, Uganda, Cameroon and Morocco. The people who answer your e-mails are the same people who answer our 20,000 French customers.

Questions we get from English-speaking customers

Short answers

Is Well & Trees the same company as Well Solidarity?

Yes. Well & Trees is the English-language brand of the Well Solidarity group: same team, same field partners, same products. The French site is well-solidarity.fr, the English site is wellandtrees.com.

Is it a charity?

No. We are a company. You buy a well or a tree at a fixed price and we build it for you, then we send you the proof. We do not collect donations, we do not offer Gift Aid and purchases are not tax-deductible.

Where are the wells built?

The Simple Well is built in Pakistan. Other wells and the trees are built or planted in Madagascar, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Cameroon and Morocco, depending on the product. The country is shown on each product page.

How long does it take?

About three months from your order to the delivery of the GPS coordinates, the photos and the video, as shown on the product page.

Can I pay in pounds or dollars?

Yes. Prices on wellandtrees.com are shown in £, and in US, Canadian or Australian dollars depending on your country. Payment is by card.

Why are there only French reviews?

Because the English brand launched in 2026. The 1,072 reviews on Well Solidarity's Trustpilot profile are from French customers who received the same wells. English customers now leave theirs on the Well & Trees profile.
